Painting

An amazing 5 day transformation!

Almost a week later, we finally had sun so we could roll Betsy outside for some better shots.

The white is so bright, ya gotta wear shades!

The front end looks a bit naked without the hood and grill area.

The reflected garage door is several feet away. The buffer arrived yesterday, so Kurt will be busy this next week.

A really odd look for a car.

A good shot of the dash, although the turquoise steering wheel looks out of place. And I think we missed a few pieces of tape.

Afternoon shade, but still looks great. Kurt hooked up the ignition switch so we could start her. Betsy started right up and we gently eased her back into the garage.

Betsy is back! I can't believe it. We started the body work back in April 2004 and finished in Oct 2004. And the painting of the two-tone scheme with a metallic paint only took 5 days. The worst parts of this restoration are done. What is left requires a little bit of time - and a whole lot of money!

Remember the mangled taillight areas?

A lot of time went into getting the taillights looking correct again.
