Painting

The green base color on the main body. The lighter area is the overlap with the white base color.

The roof in green base color. Even without the clear coat, it shines.
And again, we are running short on time before the temp drops. No time to take pictures and we have to finish tonight because tomorrow's forcast is rain! We had a couple of runs to fix, then shoot another coat to even the areas out, since this is a metallic color. We finished shooting the clear about 8pm with a space heater (electric) heating the area. After a quick supper, we started pulling tape and paper off, being extra careful not to brush the tender paint.

Driver side with clear. This photo doesn't do it justice!

The passenger side in clear.

The roof shows up well, even in this poor lighting.

The first part untaped. What a huge difference!

Kurt carefully pulling tape.

Betsy is looking like her old self.

Mostly uncovered. Anticipation is mounting as the clock ticks on.

We tried the new camera with and without flash. Both had advantages and disadvantages. This is the same shot as to the left, but with the flash this time. The white looks better, but the green is now off.

The door jambs really lined up well.

Kurt is peeling the last bits of tape.

The reflection in the unbuffed clear is amazing. At arms length, you can still make out my shoulder and shirt edge. The picture barely shows this.

The reflection in the green was even better. You could actually see my shoes, though this picture doesn't do the reflection justice. We still plan to buff the clear.
It was midnight on Day 5 by the time we finished for the night. We were tired, but Betsy looks great again. And I have to wait 30 days to bolt on her jewelry?!.

The driver side, all untaped.

The passenger side all untaped.

A site for sore eyes! Inside the garage, the colors are off with the overhead lights and the camera flash.
