One complete car, rust included, degrimed.

Considering where it was sitting, the bottom side doesn't look too rusty.

The car was last driven in 1997.

We noticed one missing piece - the "F" from the hood. However,
we found that in the glove box.

The grill is in tact with some minor damage.

These are some of the pieces found in the front seat.

Very nasty feeling old seat belts.

An even worse feeling seat. A scrub brush with Dawn dish soap took care
of most of the icky stuff. The carpet roll is out of Kurt's Wagon.

Driver side rear wheel well - if you beat on the fender, the rust just
pours out of the holes.

Passenger side rear wheel well - larger hole, less dust to fall out.

Close up of the driver side rear wheel well. The question remains -
how much putty is in the lower half of the body.

The first objective, make the vehicle runable and drivable, at least
enough to move it around under it's own power. We were tired of pushing
the other cars around and since this one had moved under it's own power
more recently, it didn't seem like it would be too much work. Grandpa
happened to be visiting and helped with the brakes and the firing over
of this old engine. A fuel pump, rebuilt carb, and a basic tuneup had
this engine firing in no time. However, the throttle linkage was fused
and would need to be replaced.

Someone had rigged this large push button under the dash for who only
knows what purpose. Note the missing gas pedal. The hinge was worn
out, so we removed it to start the repair/locate it process.

The old wiring harness runs under the aluminium sill cover. It is
fairly intact, but it will be replaced with a modern improvement.
Mom doesn't want to chance a vehicle fire due to old wiring.

The inside of the driver door shows the factory red paint.
Surprisingly, there isn't much rust affecting the doors.

The passenger door is in the same good condition as the driver door.
