The roof and body sprayed white.

The rear tailgate area in white. However, there were problems.

The temperature had dropped so much during spraying that the last coat of white base flashed too slowly, causing runs.

Also, something reacted with the white base on the inner fenders, causing a mottling effect.

The passenger inner fender had both runs and mottling.

The white base was sanded and the runs and mottling removed prior to shooting the clear.

The main body in clear. She looks good from 20 feet away.

The entire back of the car will be white now, using a custom paint scheme.

The passenger side in clear.

Up close, the runs in the clear and the orangepeel become obvious. Guess we are going to have to cut and buff the whole car. We are so not looking forward to that.

But as the fall temps continue to drop, at least the main body of the car is protected from the elements of the oncoming winter.

The roof even had sags and orangepeel.

The front doors were prepped for spraying and hung on the ends of the rotisserie.

The rear doors were prepped as well..

The rear door is where the break between the turquoise and white is the trickiest as it follows the side stainless. All the holes in the window frames had to be taped off to prevent overspray.

Then front doors had a much easier tape pattern, but the holes also had to be taped off.

The new dash trim would be sprayed white, to continue that custom look that Kurt likes so well.

The large dash trim, prepped and ready for spraying white.

The front doors in turquoise.

The rear doors in turquoise.

The front doors were taped off and sprayed white.

After the turquoise flashed and was untaped, the doors were taped off again and sprayed white.

And more problems. The white drew away from the tape, leaving a thick line.

And the white drew away from a few of the seams in the doors. A brush was used here to touch up the white. Both of these problems were caused by the cold temps.

The dash trim is now white.

The large piece of dash trim. We have to finish peeling the tape off so that the edge is back to shiny polished aluminium.

The front doors, now in clear.

The rear doors, now in clear. The fog is the paint, still in the air. And, yes, I kept the camera covered during the spraying.

And more runs in the clear coat to remove.

More runs in the clear.
