A proud teenager with her first set of wheels. We all agreed that the truck was ugly to start with, but knew we could fix that.

Grandpa, Dad, little brother, and a friend inspect the engine. We knew the trani was shot to start with. A wench will get the truck onto a trailer.

Ok, the cap shell has got to go.

The proud owner taking a picture. Very dated into the late '80s due to that aluminium panel on the back.

First thing first - clean up the interior. The headliner over the driver was completly worn through to the fiberboard, so we fixed that as well.

Second step - first basic tuneup. Then pull the transmission for a rebuild. Grandpa used to work on Fords, so he rebuilt the trani. Unfortunately, late '80s A4s have an intricate valve body and the home rebuild didn't work right. So we had to have a professional shop rebuild the trani.

Out for the first drive. Yes, the ribbon says "Support Bad Girls".

Someone had removed the left wiper transmission. The whole assembly had to come out in order to install the replacement transmission.

She had to reach up inside the cowl section to reach the bolts for the wiper motor and the wiper transmissions.

Pepe, open wide and say "aahhhhhh". This bolt extraction will only hit a little bit.

Her idea of how to work on a truck - get in and get dirty.
